We are from Menomonie, Wisconsin, USA and we are very excited
to join Word On the Street in Cebu! As full time missionaries, we
will be working very closely with the magazine, having Bible
studies with university students, and serving around the
              Philippines wherever God leads.

Brittany (see pg. 14) and I are both passionate about ministering
to university students since that’s where God found us.
Throughout the years that we were students, He used both the
good and the bad to teach us life’s lessons and show us how much
              we needed Him.

Three months ago during an overnight camping trip, I (Laura) laid
awake in my tent listening to the rain and praying about what I
learned that evening. You see, that evening while talking about
our calling someone pointed out that college, my degree, my
passion to work with children and all my mistakes in between
were part of His plan. I also questioned whether or not God had a
different plan. A few months later, I was asked to leave my life in
America behind and I said, “When do we leave?”

Our journey around the world has been scary, challenging, and
exciting all at the same time. Over the past month, we quit our
jobs, packed and gave away belongings, prayed a lot, and watched
God continue to make a way for what He has planned for us here.
We are thankful to be here and look forward to meeting our
              Filipino readers!
